The forum is one of a series being conducted by the Tasmania Electronic Commerce Centre, an applied research organisation jointly owned by the State Government and the University of Tasmania. The successful Inaugral Forum was held in Hobart on 21 April 2009.

The Forums are an engagement exercise with Tasmania’s respective industry and research bodies, to raise awareness of broadband and to leverage consideration of the role the technology could play in the various areas of study and research  planned for the future or already underway by Tasmanian researchers that could help position Tasmania at the forefront of a new digital economy - globally.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register online for future forums, details re dates/location will be advised later for delegates.
